One Potato, Two Potato

When I was young, I used to collect stickers. Lots and lots of stickers! Some might say I was a sticker whore. I'd prefer to be called a sticker aficionado. An embarrassing amount of time during my childhood was dedicated to arranging and organizing my albums. (That's right, I said, "albums.") I arranged them by category, size, year, and (oh, how I wish I were kidding) sometimes company. (Lisa Frank or Mrs. Grossman's ring a bell?)

The part that kills me is that I NEVER stuck my stickers on anything. NEVER. I clearly remember finding my younger sister in my room and discovering that, to my horror, she was sticking one of my stickers on her shirt. WTF? I'm sure I tortured her for the next couple of days because that's just the kind of loving sister I was. Recently, as I relayed this story to my husband, he started laughing and said, "Funny that you now collect paper, journals, and pens." As hard as it is for me to deny, he is right. I love all things paper. Currently, I have about 5 untouched journals in our office, a stack of cute stickers/labels, and a bag of pens, which are MINE and off limits to him. (He is not an up and down writer and thus will ruin my preferred pen collection.) Don't get me wrong, I plan to use all of my possessions, but am saving them for something other than a "to do list."

My love of both vintage and modern items has led to the discovery of a fantastic store, Three Potato Four. Their retro/contemporary mix make Three Potato Four my new number one store. Here are some photos of my favorite things:

Royal 1950's Typewriter: What's not to love? Color, clicking, and no delete button.

Apple Coathanger: Very sweet, cute bright print:

Early Learning Puzzle: Modern, clean, educational.

Darling Plushie: Blue-eyed bunny.

Three words: Three mini journals.

Measuring Cups: Love the fact that it all stacks together.

Stickers: Lovely!

The stickers are so freaking cute. I just might have to purchase a new album...

I googled "cute measuring cups" and never found those. So I had to buy uncute measuring cups from walmart.
I'm so mad at you for not posting this earlier.
But maybe I'll forgive you if you send me some.

I'm a huge fan of the measuring cups too! CUTE.

I was a sticker junkie, er I mean aficionado, too. My best page (of course I had albums) was the scratch & sniff ones. How dumb is it that I teared up tonight over the memory of my PB&J and Pickles stickers? :o)

Blessings, Whitney

HA! I so remember going to the "Hello Kitty Store", picking up those "mystery bags" (full of stickers and such. It was like christmas morning going through them, comparing and trading (which you were much more particular about! haha!)
Great site BTW! Love the cups!

it gets easier to use the nice journals...you just have to take the baby steps. I totally remember your stickers. I love those measuring cups though. Think I might have to get them for Jasper.
