With the downturn in the economy, I've had to take a new job. Rest assured that it is only part-time, so it should not interfere with my blogging here at Three Bay B Chicks.
I am working as a barista at a local cafe. I hope everything goes OK. I have never worked in the service industry before, have a terrible short-term memory, and like to take frequent breaks.
I do have high hopes that I will succeed, though. On the upside, I am a pretty social gal and am confident that my "winning personality" should get me out of whatever mess I create.
All of my bloggy friends can even stop by and see me whenever they have time, too. We'll hang out, I'll give you free CDs and caffeinated drinks, and we can laugh at those who spend all their time on their laptop trying to "study." So, what are you waiting for? Aren't you curious about where I'm working?
-Francesca
PS: If the money is right, I'll even work for you too! And don't worry, I come cheap (otherwise known as "free.")

I think you'd be really good as a "dancer."
ohhh, so you are the guest blogger over there. Good to see you holding it down on two blogs.
Here I am---just wondering where you work and being interested, and you have to go and tell me about food?! What did I ever do to you?
Good luck at the job!
Love it! Great job on the post as guest blogger. What fun... the babies are gorgeous!
if i was rich, i would pay you to come and have coffee with me...but alas, i am not. can i have a coffee with hazelnut and cream, please? oh, sorry...i just got into the whole thing.
Here I was thinking you joined the Starbucks Team! Congrats on being a guest blogger. The babies are beautiful.
Here's to you ! !
You go girl!
What a trooper you are!! Thanks for sharing the pics of Stesha's babies. Was wondering what ever happened to that lady!! :D
You are really getting around lately!
Funny!! I actually thought you were working at a coffee shop. I am so clueless:)
Hummm, I was thinking I would get to visit you at Starbucks! You did an excellent job as guest poster, and Stesha's babies are absolutely gorgeous!
Great posting, beautiful babies...
"you are really getting around..." Thats funny!!
For a second I thought you were really working at a coffee shop. Even though I had read the other blog like 2 hours ago. Brain. Not. Working.
That sounds like the perfect job for you. Any specials going on? Have a great day.
love the new job. and the pictures. :0)
OMG, I thought the link was going to be to a Starbucks! LOL, Not sure how you do all you do!
You had me thinking Starbucks too! YOu are so creative in your posts. How do you do it?
Mimi
While I miss Stesha terribly, you are by no means chopped liver, Francesca! I look forward to being served my fav indulgences by the newest barista! :)
Well in this economy a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Too bad it's not really a job a Starbucks LOL....I'd stalk you there too. Anything for free cawfee.
I'm always up for laughing at others, so let me know when your shifts are, I'm game. Just don't go get yourself fired.
Since you have so much free time if you could do my taxes and balance my checkbook, that would be great...
I think the barista gig is better than whatever job that cow would end up with...
I know where you are working. The coffee was great! Keep up the good work.
What a fun post - and Stesha's babies are beautiful!
You are the best guest blogger that money didn't buy!
Hugs and Mocha,
Stesha
are you at least getting dental?
Oh, you are a wily little chick... you really had me. How much would you charge for laundry duty? I should mention I'm potty training twins at the moment.
You're moonlighting? Oh my, this is crazy!
Well your barista services were so good over at Stesha's place, I would hire you in a minute! Well, if you put out that is.
perfect job for you and double the fun for me!
And to think I'm going to be in SF in April! I thought I might actually stop in to this place, until I found out it wasn't a place after all! I'm so gullible!
You are such a card. I was thinking you really were serious.
Little stinker!
It was good to see those babies!
You know, I think you just might make it.
I think when I'm ready to go back to work, I just might forget I have a degree in something and be a barista myself. I did work as a waitress for several years, after all.... You'll have to tell me all your tips and tricks. ;)
I too thought you were working at a real coffee shop! Thank you for stopping by my blog! I'm excited to read more on yours!
I tried to read what you wrote as guest blogger, but my eyes were too focused on the cups of coffee. I'm SOOOO sleepy...coffee looks yummy...
Francesca I love your sense of humor. You could work any where and do just fine, as you have the perfect personality. You also have a talent for writing and fooling people. I actually thought you were serious and working for perhaps, Starbucks. ;)
LOL!! I thought for sure you were working at Starbucks now!
What a nice surprise! And a great barista you are ;-)
ooo I thought you really got a job! :D
hehe
They are gorgeous!!!
I can not even maintain one blog haha
Are you working for Hot chocolate Caramel Mocha? I hear she's been waiting on you...
Hi! I am back. Happy Birthday!
I'm sure you'll do very well at your new job - you're off to a great start!
My request is quite simple: french vanilla cappucino, please. ;)
At the very least, I can promise that you'll get some interesting blog fodder out of the service industry... ALL KINDS, my dear. ALL KINDS.
You two are some "G's" for that! Love it! Looking forward to reading more...
Winks & Smiles,
Wifey
Aren't you just a hoot!
Oh Francesca you are the best bloggy buddy in the world! How nice of you!
