Of the many relationships we have in our lives, the bond between sisters is unique, stretching and bending through periods of closeness and distance, and almost never breaking. Sisterly ties tend to have fewer emotional knots; they are girlfriends, rivals, listening posts, shopping buddies, confidantes, and so much more.
Brothers share a biological link, but the ties that form those connections are different. They rarely seem as emotionally joined as girls who grew up under the same roof. What sets sisters apart is a very intimate meshing of heart, soul, and memories.
Is it possible to truly appreciate the relationship between sisters, without getting a peek at who they were when they were young? In my mind, the answer is no.
(I heart Kacey's Mom for the photos she sends me.)
My memories of Kacey's sister, Mindy, go back many, many years. The two share a closeness that neither have taken lightly nor taken for granted as they have gotten older.
For this week's Chick Chat, we are talking to real life sisters in the blogosphere. These siblings are helping us to understand what is special about their relationship, how has their bond has evolved over time, and who is the bigger social media maven.
Join us today as we talk to our sister duos, including....
Kacey and Mindy
Grand Pooba from Pooba and Lindee from The Orr Family
Christie from My Life-A Work in Progress and Joan from Joan of All Trades
Lolli from Better in Bulk and Andrea from The Hatchers and Their Hatchling
Angie from The Arthur Clan and Drew from Happy Chaos

Love Love Loved! This video. Hilarious! Kacey's husband cracked me up. "On a scale from 9.9-10...." LOL! I loved your interview. You guys are too cute!
I'm about to pass a cup around the blogosphere... I still don't have volume on my laptop, so I can't hear these! :) Good to "see" you though!
Blessings,
Carolynn
PS, logged into wrong account. Whoops! Stay fabulous.

My sister and I love each other, but we have nothing in common and are not what I would consider "close". It makes me sad to think about it. =0(
She thinks my blog is INSANE and can't BELIEVE I tell so much about my life and also post PICTURES of my KIDS for the world to steal and use. We're just soooo different. =0(
Oh well, God made us different, but we still do love each other. I guess that's all that matters. I still wish we were closer.
LOVED the video!! I wish I had a sister. Boo!!
great video... love my sister to death... we're 10 yrs apart (she's older) ... but we are so different... we normally just agree to disagree!!
awesome video! Too funny!: )
That was the best interview ever. I'm pretty sure my husband would totally put me and my sisters on the spot.
Ty, you were seriously channeling Dr. Phil with some of those tough questions! (And also with the hair, of course.)
Mo & Kace - fab as always! How can I get in on the clothes borrowing rotation?
(Kace, please, please post your wedding video one of these days. Truly brilliant.)

Wow what a great topic. There is nothing like a sister. Can't wait to check out the others.
Aww. This is so moving. My sister and I aren't that close, though we both try in our little ways.
Those two could be twins! And it's great to see they both have that delightful personality and her husband is a hoot!
oh man you three - totally awesome.
love the introductions.
I wish I were close to my sister but we are not. I miss having that but it is a bridge that cannot be repaired.
I so love this. You guys are so funny and cute. Although I don't comment all the time. I so love Chick Chat
This is great! Kacey, your husband is too funny with his nods and his half agreeing smile....lol!
I wish I had a sister. Not lucky enough though.
LOLOLOL @ "rehearsed answer"...what was hilarious. Great interviewing skills by the hubs, too!
Hysterical! Hubby Dear was really stirring the pot! Look out Dr. Phil :-)
xo
This was so cute : ) WOW! Such fun! And I adored Angie and Drew's video too. They are the funniest. What a good idea. I would ask if I could join in except that I hate being on film : ) I would like to participate if I could have a bag over my head.
Just stopping by to thank you for allowing me and my sister, Drew, to be a part of this. Even though we were freaking out a bit about being on camera, it ended up being great fun!
Loved watching this video...having the hubby as part of it made it ever funnier. :)

SWEET SWEET SWEET! I know I would be LOST without my sister
Funny video. LOL
I have two sisters, one older and one younger and it's a hoot the difference in each of us.
aww how cute!!
Going to watch the video but just had to comment. I am not very close to my sister but have a best friend that I consider to be in that role. The women in our lives are so important.
Great video. My sister is my best friend. Yea for sisters!!!
g-r-e-a-t video~
tooooooo funny!
This was great! I loved the video, and even though my sister and I have parted ways, I understood so much.
You are a vlogging machine, my darling! Fabulous, as always.
LOVED this!!! My sister and I share a special bond. However, she just READS my blog. She won't touch a keyboard otherwise......
This is really fun! I only wish I could hear it a little better. ;0)
I put my headphones in and watched again. Much better! What a riot! I loved the questions.
That was are too fun! I need to take vlogging lessons from you guys. I should have had the kids interview us. Would have been way more entertaining!
Kacey's husband is hilarious!! You should get him into more stuff, he's got a knack for it. I'm late to the party, but I need to go check out these videos...!
Kacey's husbands facial expressions were hilarious! You two look like twins... are you?
Wow it has taken me forever to get caught up on my blogs! Ok, having Kacey's husband narrate, if you will, was brilliant!
My favorite part? "Why do you have to be such an ass?"
Brilliant little sis, brilliant!
It's not fair! Why didn't I get a sister?
Being an Only Child sucks.
*Sulks in corner*
I love my sisters so much.... And we've definitely been through our ups and downs through the years. :) In defense of the brothers out there, my husband does have a pretty intense relationship similar to sisters' with his brother. I think it all depends on the kind of house you grew up in.
Francesca! I've missed your wit. Just thought I'd let everyone else know ;) LOL
Hope all is well.
oh my goodness!! this was hilarious!!! :) great video! Have a great weekend in the Bay :)
