Chick Chat

Some of my favorite people on the Internet are in their 20s. It is not really hard to understand why. They often make me laugh with their over-the-top, F-yeah! posts focused on love, friendship, and working for the man.

For this week's Chick Chat, we are taking a trip around the blogosphere to visit a few of these 20-something bloggers. What do they want to be when they grow up? How connected are they? What do they look forward to during the next several years and what scares the crap out of them? Ben from No Ordinary Rollercoaster, Cheryl from Confessions of a Twenty Something Year Old, Severina from The Lifestyles of Sevi, Jessica from The Everyday Adventues of Me in the City, and Lilu from Liv it, Luv It will tell us.

In preparation for this post, I sat down with Giancarlo and recorded a segment too. I figured he is going to experience life as a 20-something a lot sooner than I will again.

You're like the next Jay Leno. Is that a madonna rubber bracelet on your wrist? Were you mad how Giancarlo totally upstaged you?

Get out--I'm not the only 20-something blogging these days? :)

Are you kidding me!?!? He's the cutest thing ever! And I want to borrow him, so I can have some stimulating conversation like that! My girls are too cool...and roll their eyes way too often. Plus, maybe I could ride on that really cool fire engine. Loved it!

I think I like the 20-something bloggers because they make me feel like...um, well...20-something...even if just for the few minutes while I'm reading their blogs. Great choices! I've been to most of those blogs, but will have to mosey on over to the ones I haven't visited yet. The video is a hoot! He's just too cute for words! Convos with pre-schoolers are the best...I've often thought of vlogging a few of mine and Isaiah's talks. Great entertainment value! :)

Hope you guys have a fantastic 4th!

He is the CUTEST fireman I have ever seen...and BRILLIANT! I wish my professors had sung to me in class!

That was hilarious! I loved his suggestion that you be a fire truck! Currently Fiona wants to be a 'House Painter", she wants to paint houses rainbow color..... and Johnny wants to be 'whatever he wants to be"... he says.

Hi! I followed you here from Sevi's blog and I'm glad I did.
Giancarlo is very cute, reminds me of my six year old brother. He wants to be a basketball player this week.

Love you interviewing skills!

Omg he is too cute! I can not wait to turn 20 so I can finally be in this category of 20-something bloggers because there is no category for teen bloggers & even if there is I don't want to be associated with a bunch of teens.. ugh! haha Love the video!

Cute!

Though, now I feel old compared to twenty somethings...

I think I get what he's saying: who cares about turning 20 when you can watch "Cars"? It's the eternal question being answered! "Don't give up your inner child!"

Jen said...

OH my goodness Giancarlo is SO CUTE!!! I loved that video and think you should do more! I feel like it makes me know you better!!

Giancarlo is going to make a great Fire engine ummm I mean a fireman!!! Hee!!

Your boy is a doll! I just want to squeeze him! He's got the cutest voice too.

oh my... this is such an adorable post!!!!

I like 20 something bloggers too until I realize I am old enough to be their mothers. Then I get angry thinking about how they don't have wrinkles and aren't all saggy. It's all downhill from there.

New fun people to stalk!!! Aren't you nice to share:-)

Your doing great!! Keep up the good work!

okay...i'm having a hard time with the fact that i'm not YOUNG ENOUGH TO BE IN THIS 20-SOMETHING GROUP! that was a reality check...dang it!

Okay, my {frustrated mumblings} internet connection is S.L.O.W. tonight (there must be clouds blocking the satellite beam...or whatever). I've been sitting here for hours. No, months! No, YEARS! Okay, slight exaggeration. Bottom line: I can't get the video to finish loading. :(

I have a few more months as a 20-something. But it feels like I've already passed that decade...

Francesca, that is the cutest thing ever. Loved it!!! Now I've got the "Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday...song in my head".

I LOVED this! I want to do this myself! How cute.

So fun to see you on video and your adorable son. Being twenty something was really tough actually. It felt like I was perpetually trying to find myself. Finally when I hit my late thirties a couple of years ago, I decided to not worry anymore about being lost.

Kailey said...

Aw, he's so cute! I'm glad he changed his mind from being a firetruck to being a fireman.

I think you should be a Gerbera Daisy when you grow up. I'm not sure what color, but definately a Gerbera Daisy.

Sharon said...

A rock!??! That's awesome. It's too bad he changed his mind on that one. If there is one thing I could do well, it's be a rock. We could be GREAT!

He is the cutest thing! And I thought LiLu's blog was my guilty pleasure. I didn't know other, ahem, mature folks read her blog too. I don't know if I can handle more twenty-something bloggers. One is like, ok but more than that is kind of creepy in a 'trying to reclaim my youth' sort of way.

Jessica said...

You are both so darn adorable!

Wifey said...

Oh he's so damn cute! I see he's got his mommy's charming personality!
