Chick Chat

Confessions. We all have them, especially Moms. We let our kids eat treats before dinner, sit them in front of the TV longer than we should, and maybe even skip bathtime when we just don't feel up to it.

Or is that just me?

This week on Chick Chat we are turning our vlogs into a confessional for Moms. Joining us will be Carebear from Beauty and the Little Beast, BabyMama from BlogBaby, Juls from Every Day is a Crazee Day, and Cat from the Juggling Act of Life. We hope you will visit each of these sites and listen to what these Moms are confessing.

But before you go, it seems that even Kacey and Thuy have a story to tell...

I, on the other hand, am an open book and have no secrets.

I stayed up waiting for the new post!I love Chick Chat and many of those things or similar things have happened to many of us! Luckily someone up there is really watching them:)My confession is that one time I went to pick up my two older kids from school early to go to my husbands coaching conference. I had my one year old with me and he started to wonder off and explore. I let him while I waited for the older kids to arrive. When the two older boys arrived and I signed them out, I headed to the door and my 6 yr old gasped and brought me my 20 month old. Oops I forgot he was exploring. I had so many things in my mind I brain farted for a second. That freaked me out!

HI girls, great confessions.

So based on your confession Thuy you would NOT recommend allowing your children to play in traffic?? Is that correct?

Or is the moral of the story that we should never make friends with the other mommies at the park because only bad things will happen if we do. Hmmmm....things to ponder.

Makes me feel better. No kids but dogs and I have let some similar things happen. We get so busy and have so many things going through our heads that it's amazing that we all survive some days. Thanks for being so honest.

Lord...they are brave. I try not to confess. LOL Too cute. I have so many confessions, I have lost track and count. With three kids, they really add up. Yikes.

Thank you. It takes so much to share your mommy confessions this us. The moral that I am taking away is Moms are human too and they are doing the toughest job ever!!! Great job chickadees!

Oh, I've totally had a moment at the park when I'm sitting there, thinking I'm doing my best to supervise my kids and then some mom screams, "Oh My God, there's a kid stuck in a tree"...and I'm thinking, "Thank God, it's not one of mine" as I look over to see Cole hanging upside down from a very tall tree. Since when does he even climb trees??? I wanted to die of embarrassment.

I haven't yet locked one of my kids in the car yet but I have been guilty of making the sure the infant carrier seat was locked into position in the car yet not bothering to check to make sure the BABY was locked INTO the infant seat.

So those are my confessions...

Another great Chick Chat! Those confessions were a hoot. Thanks for sharing. I'm not confessing to anything in writing or on video... :)

LOL - great stories. I personally never take my eyes off my kiddos so nothing like that could EVER happen to me. ;-P

Too funny, I think these confessions are fabulous! It is too hard to be perfect all the time, and it just doesn't happen! Good to know it happens to everyone!

Great confessions! I'm a little brain fried myself right now, but I'll dig really deep and see if there's something to confess! (I'm sure it won't take much effort! lol!)

Loved the vlog and the confessions...when Princess Nagger was an infant I was always paranoid about accidentally locking her in the car...but I was more worried about the hubby doing it - we don't call him the Absent Minded Professor for nothing! ;)

Kudos to Kacey and Thuy for sharing their confessions; and Francesca, an open book - right.

Love Chick Chat!

What a fun concept. I've been that mom before. More than once. :)

I am so glad that I am not a famous mom like Brittany Spears so that all my awesome mom momments like locking my myself out for the house with my 18 month baby inside are not captured and spread all over the internet.

Oh my gosh.... I have had TWO sons that seemed to think it was their life's mission to run across streets by themselves. Sometimes while I was just standing there, but several times while I had NO IDEA that they had escaped from the house!!

More terrifying moments than I care to share. :)

Don't we all have those moments? I immediately thought of the time I did something similar to my mom, when I was a preschooler. We were living in an apartment building in San Leandro, and I decided to stick my head in between the railings going up to the second floor of the apartments. My mom tried everything to get my head out of there, but was completely unsuccessful, so she finally called the fire department. As soon as I heard the sirens coming down the street, I backed out and ran away. My mom wanted to strangle me. :)

I have no confessions to make. I'm a perfect Mom!!

Yeah, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it, lol!!!!!!

Grand Pooba said...

Of course Francesca has nothing to confess. She's perfect right? I'm not a mom per se but I do have a pet owner confession.

I've accidently left the door open 3 times and my cat ran away 3 times! One time my poor kitty was missing for over a month! But at least we found him every time!

My laptop has no volume. Can you stinkin believe it? If I can find a computer doc to fix it, this post is the first place I'm coming back. Well, after one quick stop on itunes for the Glee show song. Just sayin.

Miss you much!

Blessings, C~

Some purists claim that Rolex replicas are not the way to go ?however, one suspects that these same people may belong to the wealthier set where disposable income is not an issue. Imagine having to pay $20,000 for a watch that you may wear infrequently! This is where an imitation watch serves a perfect purpose. The quality of these replica timepieces are now so perfect that it is almost impossible to tell the difference between that and the original.
