It's a Smashing Hit

I love my computer and, apparently, so does M. I've tried giving M an old keyboard to play with, but he doesn't fall for the trick. He likes to bang on my keyboard and usually activates some weird feature that I didn't even know existed.

I've recently discovered this very cool and free application called Baby Smash (the free Apple equivalent of this software is AlphaBaby) that will allow M to bang on my computer without doing any damage. Notice I did not say anything about the keyboard; we've already had to replace one keyboard since M enjoys seeing the effects of his banging on the screen.

Check out this clip of how happy Baby Smash made this little tot. If only my M was as gentle with the keyboard as this cute little guy. Sigh...

Scott, the Microsoft developer of Baby Smash, is considering updates to the program so that family pictures appear when certain keys are struck. I'm looking forward to new improvements to an already great tool.

Happy Smashing!

LOL! You had to replace a key board? Oh my gosh! Thanks for that link, I think my baby will love that when she's a little bit older! GREAT idea!

By the way, I am giving you guys an award, come check it out!

Wouldn't it be nice if my miniature was that nice to my keyboard? I'm getting good at closing my laptop now since those keys just pop right off, I do not need to pay a million bucks to get it replaced so she can have some kicks.

Now Francesca, I recall you stating on my blog recently, "B, I think your confessional is missing one very important question...

* When will you be making a purse for Francesca?

I'll even go the distance and help out with the answer:

Given Francesca's love of purses and all things hand-made, I will be commencing with Project Purse immediately."

That leave me with one question.
Have you entered my giveaway? Cause girl, this purse could be YOURS. You never know right?

That's so cute! I've destroyed many keyboards, but never looked so cute doing it.

Yeah, we've done the old keyboard and old phones thing but they *know* which ones are the good ones, they ones they REALLY want to mess with. LOL

Thank the Lord I am past the keyboard smashing phases or else I would definitely take a look at that site.

No way! That is AWESOME! Totally brilliant. I'm so glad people think up these things...and that people like you tell people like me about the things people think up. :)

The entire time I was thinking that kid is going to notice the juice in the corner and pour it all over that keyboard!

How cool! That would have been helful when my girl was small. Now that she's 5 she almost as good on the laptop as I am. Maybe better....

My kids are obsessed with the keyboard too, esp the little twins. Everytime they come near my computer, they screw something up!!

That looks like a great product. I love the idea that the developer is working on where family pics will pop up when certain keys are touched!

Now if only someone would make something like that for cats. When he steps on a key the computer says, "Get down from there!" or "Don't walk on that!"

Oh that kid is adorable! What a good idea...gotta tell my lil sis about this cuz her son has done some major damage to their laptop!

(I may secretly get it on my computer at work, looks like a good time waster!)

Love the idea for babies, mine have all loved anything with buttons and only the real thing will do.

I need a program for tweens and teen who play Age of Empires on the computer, it destroys the shift key and my sanity.

That is a really cute video. Still, I don't think I will let my youngest on the computer until she is at least 3. Did I say that? 3!! Oh well, it's true... my 3 year old loves to use the paint application and browse around PBS Kids.

Oh, I love this. I am downloading it for my machines. My little boy loves to play with the computer and of course everything is all wonky after. Thanks for the review!

I am so going to have to download this for my little two year old "techie" who is already asking to use the computer! Thanks for the tip!

That would have been fun while my kids were younger! Damn my luck!
Oh well- now they have guidlines of where they can visit on the computer.
Luckily they still enjoy PBS.com
